Some of the largest wireless operators in the world are implementing SPICE units in their networks. SPICE is a low-impact distributive wireless infrastructure solution that economically delivers robust coverage quality. Easily integrated with existing infrastructure, cSPICE (coverage SPICE) units are deployed at the street level - typically on light poles or rooftops rather than large towers. Deployed in simulcasting clusters, cSPICE units provide homogenous coverage to subscribers. The small size of the units, their low power, their scalability and their wireless backhauls, make SPICE easier and quicker to deploy. The bSPICE (Base SPICE) unit is typically colocated with an existing base station (BTS) to complete the SPICE network.
