Argentina's second smallest operator in terms of subscribers, Movicom initially served the Buenos Aires region alone before it was awarded a PCS licence in 1999. Despite plans to launch a 2.5G offering in the second quarter of 2002, this failed to materialise and it has since pushed back the launch date to mid-2003.
