The Andorran Telecommunications Service (STA) is constituted as a public law entity, with its own legal personality and autonomous organisation. The object of STA is the management and exploitation, exclusively, in Andorran territory, of telecommunications services in general â“ fixed telephones, mobile telephones, data transmission, Internet and other auxiliary or supplementary telecommunication services â“ including matters referring to international communications. The Andorran Telecommunications Service is also responsible for managing the technical infrastructures and national broadcasting networks for radio and television, both analogue and digital (TDT). The STA was formed as a public company in 1975. The STA is governed and administered by a Board of Directors with full responsibility to the Government of Andorra for the management, direction and representation of the service, and the management, administration and disposal of its assets and resources.
