SETAR N.V. Aruba's national telecommunication provider is the principal telecommunication company on the island. SETAR N.V. provides solutions for Fixed line, Mobile, Internet and Data. The company's cellular communications infrastructure offers both GSM and TDMA services. SETAR has more than 70, 000 registered cellular subscribers giving the company a better than 70 penetration rate. Setar also offers trunking and paging. GPRS, Internet chatting, ring tones, WAP and MMS services were recently introduced on the GSM network picture sending and receiving, downloading of ring tones and logos and Internet access are now possible through the cellular phone. SMS is available on both networks as the networks are interconnected. SETAR N.V. is also an Internet provider and offers island-wide, high-speed DSL services. There are over 13,000 DSL subscribers, one of the highest penetration rates in the region.
