SK Telecom
Company profile
Since its commercialization of the world's first CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) system and synchronized IMT-2000 cellular system, SK Telecom has been striving to integrate Korea, China and Japan, which together represent over 25 of the world's mobile phone subscribers, into a single 'CDMA Belt'. To this end, SK Telecom has established strategic alliances with major wireless communications operators in East Asia in terms of technological cooperation. This will aid us in providing the world's most competitive wireless services. In addition, SK Telecom is extending its global reach to the American continent. In January of 2005, SK Telecom established a joint venture with EarthLink, an Internet service provider (ISP) in the U.S., for the first time as an Asian mobile career.
