In October 1998, SK Teletech was established to maximize the competitiveness of SK Telecom's cellular services and to elevate customer satisfaction in those areas. We took a radically new approach to cellular phone design and function, and focused our efforts to produce products that would better suite the busy life-styles of men and women today. Korea was experiencing economic difficulties at the time of our establishment and the domestic mobile phone market had already reached its maturity, with giant companies like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and Motorola dominating sales. Despite of these adverse circumstances, we were able to penetrate the market and achieve remarkable success thanks to the company's dedication to serve the needs of the consumers. Handset models mesmerized consumers with such features as the wireless Internet connections, infrared data access, automatic answering, and sophisticated ring melody composition all packaged in very innovative designs.
