Company profile
Summitek Instruments was founded in 1996 by Brad Deats and Rick Hartman with the purpose of developing RF and microwave test equipment for the wireless telecommunications industry. Deats and Hartman wanted to address emerging needs in the market and respond to situations where the current solution was inadequate or could be improved. Summitek's first product was a passive IM analyzer (PIM), which was introduced at PCS '96. Summitek's PIM analyzer has become known as one of the best and most innovative products in the wireless test equipment category and is the world standard for this difficult measurement. BaseStAR Interference Analyzer, Summitek Instruments' newest product, provides interference analysis for base stations. BaseStAR's end-result reduces churn and increases capacity for service providers. BaseStAR was awarded top honors in the '99 Telecommunications Products and Services category of the Colorado's Most Innovative New Products Competition.
