TDC Mobile is part of the TDC Group, and was formed as a separate division in the TDC Mobile International A/S arm of the TDC Group. We have been working with mobile telephony since the introduction of the analogue NMT network in 1982. In 1991 the former Tele Danmark won a license for GSM900 and has been operating mobile telephony on GSM as well as NMT since then. In 1997 the company also won a GSM1800 license. January 2001 we, as the first operator in Denmark, took an important step into the future by introducing GPRS (General Packet Switched System a broadband technology for mobile networks). October 31, 2001, TDC Mobile won a license for the mobile network for the future, UMTS. Simply put, we therefore plan to build the best UMTS network in Denmark. November 20, 2001, TDC Mobile was incorporated as a public company.
