The goal of the TRON Project is to build a new computer order for the 1990s and beyond, based on a revolutionary new architecture. The TRON Association was established in March 1988 as the co organization responsible for carrying forward this Project. The TRON Association promotes the creation and adoption of standards, offers conformance-testing services, carries out related studies, and works to make the TRON Project more widely known. We are confident that these efforts will contribute significantly to both the creation of a new computer order and the emergence of a mature information society. The work of the TRON Association is also intended to advance the industries and economies of nations throughout the world.
