Every LBS application requires a "geoserver" or a location-time (spatio-temporal) processing engine. All current solutions are using static GIS or spatial databases. In contrast, WaveMarket's geoserver, Location Intelligence, is an in-core, spatio-temporal database. It has been custom-built based on 10 years of MIT algorithmic research to efficiently process dynamic location data for large numbers of moving subscribers. In addition to the in-core database, WaveMarket's Polling Server product uses intelligence to protect the operator networks from overloading due to location data requests - which is common in most location applications.
