World Dialogue on Regulation (WDR)

WDR will facilitate the transformation of regulation to provide both a foundation of support and a catalyst for development of network economies in both developing and developed countries. This will require research, an extensive international dialogue on the major issues of regulatory reform, discussions among experts, and widespread distribution of papers, reports and other relevant information.The World Dialogue on Regulation for Network Economies (WDR) project was initiated by infoDev, Global Information and Technologies Department, World Bank. This is a flagship project that also falls within two infoDev core programs, telecom reform and information infrastructure development. Authors contributing to the World Dialogue on Regulation for Network Economies will retain copyright over their work, but will provide a limited use license to WDR for its education and training activities.

National Commission for Information Technology

The National Commission for Information Technology, hereinafter designated by CNTI, is the government's organ responsible for defining, coordinating and motivating actions that aim at preparing and directing the Angolan State towards an Information Society, within the Angolan government's strategy for the development of Information Technology. The National Commission for Information Technology, in partnership with State organs, might create laboratories for fomentation, research and implementation of solutions that seek the dissemination of the useful values of the modern information society within the Angolan society, and maximize the use of Information Technology.

The Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation (CTO) is a partnership between Commonwealth governments and telecommunications businesses to promote ICT in the interests of consumers, businesses and social and economic development. Its Programme for Development and Training (PDT) is a unique programme of training and expert assistance in every aspect of telecommunications for Commonwealth developing countries. The CTO has existed in its current form since 1967, and is the largest Commonwealth organisation other than the Commonwealth Secretariat itself. It is governed by an intergovernmental treaty and has diplomatic status in its host country the United Kingdom. It works with the Commonwealth Secretariat and other Commonwealth bodies in support of the overall objectives of this unique family of nations within the ICT sector.

Since 1985, communication industry members have depended on CFCA for help in reducing annual fraud losses. Today it is estimated that annual fraud losses are in excess of 35-40 billion worldwide CFCA is a not-for-profit global educational association working to help combat communications fraud. CFCA seeks to promote a close association among communication security personnel, to enhance their professional status and efficiency, and to serve as a clearinghouse of information pertaining to the fraudulent use of communications services.
