TErrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA) is an open digital trunked radio standard defined by the European Telecommunications Standardisation Institute (ETSI) to meet the needs of the most demanding professional mobile radio users. Today the TETRA MoU represents almost 100 organisations, from all continents of the world. Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) is a digital trunked mobile radio standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The purpose of the TETRA standard was to meet the needs of traditional Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) user organisations such as those listed below.

Over 285 million people around the world can now receive more than 585 different DAB services. Commercial DAB receivers have now been on the market since summer 1998. There are now more than 32 different DAB receivers commercially available.
