The CDMA Development Group (CDG) is an international consortium of companies who have joined together to lead the adoption and evolution of CDMA wireless systems around the world. The CDG is comprised of the world's leading CDMA service providers and manufacturers. By working together, the members will help ensure interoperability among systems, while expediting the availability of CDMA technology to consumers.

Founded in 1987, The GSM Association (GSMA) is a global trade association representing more than 700 GSM mobile phone operators across 217 territories and countries of the world. In addition, more than 180 manufacturers and suppliers support the Association's initiatives as associate members. The primary goals of the GSMA are to ensure mobile phones and wireless services work globally and are easily accessible, enhancing their value to individual customers and national economies, while creating new business opportunities for operators and their suppliers. The Association's members serve more than 2 billion customers - over 82 of the world's mobile phone users.

Open Mobile Alliance is designed to be the center of mobile service standardization work, helping the creation of interoperable services across countries, operators and mobile terminals that will meet the needs of the user. To grow the mobile market, the companies supporting the Open Mobile Alliance will work towards stimulating the fast and wide adoption of a variety of new, enhanced mobile information, communication and entertainment services.
